ATEX rotary encoders meet new standards

HEIDENHAIN has released its new series of encoders for potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX), which meet the new standards required today for motion control applications. These HEIDENHAIN ExN and ROx 400 rotary encoders feature a sturdy design with increased wall thickness, smaller cable diameter, and variations for multiple zones and atmosphere classifications.

High-precision positioning of inspection items in the x-ray beam

CT systems with rotary tables and angle encoder modules with roller bearings In the domain of non-destructive materials testing, computed tomography (CT) is a technology that provides a unique three-dimensional view of inspection items. For example, it permits precise geometrical measurement of the inner structures ...

Leine & Linde releases the IXA 648 absolute inductive encoder with ATEX and IECEx certification

For offshore motion control applications, particularly in the Oil & Gas industries, it has become mandatory to utilize an encoder with IECEX Zone 1/21 certifications. To accommodate that, Leine & Linde now offers its IXA 648 absolute rotary encoder as certified according to ATEX and IECEx, for use in hazardous applications where extreme conditions - such as high temperature and pressure, salty corrosive atmosphere and potentially explosive environments - are common.
