Serving our communities: HEIDENHAIN volunteers in action
At HEIDENHAIN CORPORATION, we’re committed to creating life-changing technology through engineering excellence—but we also believe in making a difference beyond the shop floor. That’s why our team recently partnered with two outstanding nonprofit organizations, volunteering our time to support missions that are transforming lives in very different, but equally meaningful ways.
In Schaumburg, Illinois, one group of HEIDENHAIN employees volunteered with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), hand-packing meals for children facing hunger around the world. FMSC is a Christian nonprofit on a mission to end undernutrition by providing life-saving meals and long-term food solutions to vulnerable communities. Together, our volunteers packed hundreds of meals that will nourish not just bodies, but spirits—offering hope and a path toward sustainable development.
More recently, another group of employees dedicated their time to Bernie’s Book Bank, a Lake County-based nonprofit focused on children’s literacy and empowerment through book ownership. Our team helped pack over 200 bags of high-quality, age-appropriate books that will be delivered to local kids who may not otherwise have books of their own. Bernie’s Book Bank believes reading is the most important skill a child can have—and we were proud to support their mission of building brighter futures through literacy.
Whether it’s through precision technology or acts of service, HEIDENHAIN is proud to support the well-being of communities near and far. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the missions of both Feed My Starving Children and Bernie’s Book Bank—and for the passion our employees bring to making a difference, one meal and one book at a time.
