HEIDENHAIN’s TNC Remote Desktop Manager software available for download

SCHAUMBURG, IL  – HEIDENHAIN CORPORATION continues to expand digital workflow capabilities for TNC users with Remote Desktop Manager, a software solution that allows users to access office PCs directly from their HEIDENHAIN control.

Available through the HEIDENHAIN Filebase software download portal, Remote Desktop Manager helps connect CNC machining operations with important office applications and production data in real time.

Users can access software downloads here by visiting the Filebase under “Software” and selecting the appropriate PC software category. The Filebase includes software for controls, PC software, digital readouts, encoder support, inspection devices, testing devices, and additional HEIDENHAIN solutions. Users will be asked to confirm the HEIDENHAIN License Agreement before downloading software.

Remote Desktop Manager enables operators to integrate office PCs directly into the interface of compatible TNC controls, providing access to applications such as CAD/CAM systems, drawings, ERP systems, and production data directly at the machine.

By bringing office and machine workflows together, users can improve process visibility, reduce unnecessary movement between workstations, and streamline day-to-day machining operations.

The software also allows compute-intensive applications to run through the connected office PC without impacting CNC machining performance, helping maintain machine productivity while giving users access to critical information and programming tools.

For users of the TNC7, Remote Desktop Manager also supports customizable horizontal and vertical screen layouts, making it possible to monitor machining operations while simultaneously viewing office applications and production data.

Remote Desktop Manager is included as a free software option for all TNC users, including those with TNC Club Basic and Premium memberships on registered controls.
