Multi-dimensional feedback

Dplus encoders from HEIDENHAIN can measure multiple degrees of freedom along their main axis of measurement. This permits errors measured in one axis to be compensated for in a neighboring one.

Robust angular measurement

Thanks to its scanning ring with four built-in scanning windows, the ERP 1080 Dplus is unfazed by off-center loads, vibrations and temperature fluctuations. The result is robust angular feedback at all times.

High-accuracy scanning

The ERP 1080 Dplus angle encoder features very small measuring steps and exceptionally high accuracy at the same time. This feedback device utilizes interferential scanning technology in conjunction with a phase grating on a glass substrate.

Convenient mounting

Small signal periods usually require tight mounting tolerances for the distance between the scanning head and measuring standard. Thanks to a scanning ring with four scanning windows, the ERP 1080 Dplus is quick and easy install via a centering collar.
