The first truly commercial digital readout system was introduced under the name ACU-RITE
1985
HEIDENHAIN acquires ACU-RITE and centralizes all operations in Jamestown, New York
1986
ACU-RITE unveils the first CRT-based readout system with advanced features like tool offsets and programming.
1994
ACU-RITE introduces the MILLPWR® 2-axis CNC Control / 3-axis Readout System to increase the productivity and profitability of manual milling machines.
Early 2000s
Product line improvements continue—including the ability for the MILLPWR to run a G-code file from CAD/CAM programs for full 3D contouring
