The LIC 4100 FS linear encoders are available with functional safety and a failsafe mechanical connection. They can be integrated into systems with up to SIL 2, where they minimize malfunctions and help ensure safe machine operation.

Thanks to a large scanning field, this series of encoders is highly robust in the face of contamination. Localized contamination on the measuring standard has minimal effect on their signal quality and measurement reliability.

The LIC linear encoders combine high accuracy with high traversing speeds, enabling measuring steps down to 1 nm and speeds of up to 600 m/min. Thanks to high immunity to contamination, their absolute position feedback is also exceptionally reliable.
