HEIDENHAIN Places Machine Tool Accuracy On Center Stage at WESTEC

Continuing the Accuracy Campaign introduced at HEIDENHAIN’s IMTS show booth, HEIDENHAIN will once again showcase applications for linear and angular encoders in order to show their importance in the area of accuracy on machine tools. The newest in touch probes will also be on hand.

HEIDENHAIN’s WESTEC show product highlights will include a variety of linear and rotary encoders, controls and touch probes. The newest in HEIDENHAIN touch probes include the TS 444 battery-free probe, with its built-in air turbine generator and capacitor using the same burst of air that cleans the part, is charged and ready to probe within seconds. And the TS 740 high accuracy probe, boasting a = 1µm accuracy with repeatability of = 0.25µm, is coupled with the use of an innovative low force analysis triggering method making this one of the most accurate probes in the world.
